Students this week worked on reading informational text, taking notes, and then writing informational paragraphs. The students then revised and editted their work before publishing it on a padlet. The students added an image to help the reader with the text. Great job students! I love my 4th grade digital creators!!!

Columbus Blue Jackets Reading Challenge
This November,
the students in room 203 are participating in a HOME READING CHALLENGE
sponsored by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
This program encourages parents to get involved with reading at
home. All you have to do is reading for
20 minutes a night with your child at least 4 nights a week in NOVEMBER. After Thanksgiving break, I will total the
students who have turned in their slips.
I will submit the students names to the Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey
Team and the students will receive a prize!

Hello Class! This weekend, talk to your family about everyday heroes! Then, share your ideas on everyday heroes on the padlet. On Monday, we will share the padlet with the class.

Hale Farm
The students had a great experience at Hale Farm. Visits were made to an old fashioned schoolhouse, a general store, a glassblower, a candle shop, a yarn maker, and more. Students saw what it was like to live in the 1800's all while learning about economics.

Spooky Story Avatar Teasers

The students have been busy writing spooky stories in class. Out fictional stories are full or suspense, danger, and Halloween spooks. To preview our stories the students created these speaking avatars. Each avatar will tell you a little teaser about the spooky story they have written in class. The students were so proud of their stories and their avatars.
